Just wondering about my Stocks & Shares ISA. I can see it going up or down every day, but do I also get paid dividends for the stocks and shares at the end of the tax year?

Telling us what are you invested in would be a good start.3

That rather depends on how it is invested. The S&S ISA is simply a box that is used to hold a group of investments, so if you tell us what is in the box, then we can perhaps point you in the direction of more info.0

Hi,are they accumulation or income?0

Dividends aren't generally timed to be paid at the end of the tax year.0

Hi,if you stick your fund in search box then 'dividends' you will find when dividends due.0

Hard to say until you tell us what you have invested inIf you have company shares then most will but some won'tIf you have collective investments such as funds they almost certainly will as it would be unusual for hundreds or thousands of the underlying investments to specifically exclude dividend paying companiesIf you have the Income class of funds they will pay them as cash and then follow your instructions to reinvest, pay them to your bank or just leave them in your accountIf you have the Accumulation class they will still pay dividends but retain them within the fund so it may not be apparent to you that they are paidDividends are most commonly paid quarterly but some will be monthly, some biannually and yet others annually. Which particular day, month or quarter will depend on the fundBut as others have said, you need to say what you have invested in or we can only speak in generalities0

Is just called 'ISA Portfolio' with Aviva.0

Magnolian, that's still just a standard S&S ISA wrapper and someone will have chosen the individual components within it that you are invested in. I'm guessing that this was set up by an advisor of some sort? Any dividends will accumulate in the cash portion of the ISA and be used to pay the ongoing advisor and Aviva charges, with the residue available to you to withdraw or reinvest.
It's good that you are trying to learn about your investment, but it might be best to get more info from your advisor, so that we can help you understand what it is that you have put your money into.1 -
