Joint account

I am looking to open a joint bank account to help with household bills. I am not sure which bank provider to go with, I am currently with Natwest and my partner is with Santander, is it best to choose to open one with one of these providers or go with a new bank? Thank you

I personally would choose a third bank.
Assuming you both want to have the banking app for this new account on your phone, then First Direct would not be a good choice as they only allow one instance.
Lloyds or Nationwide might be a good choice, or one of the app-only banks eg Starling or Monzo (assuming they do joint accounts)1 -

Starling and Monzo do joint accounts, but with both banks, both parties would have to open a sole account first before they can open a joint accountcx6 said:

First Direct are a good choice, been with them years with my wife, we both have a sole account plus a joint account. You can have an app each for your phone, you register each phone with separate secure log on codes (digital secure key) What you can't do is log straight in on a device that isn't registered with them, for that you have to use the app to raise a security log in code.1

I am currently with Natwest and my partner is with Santander,
You are looking to open a joint account solely for household bills?

If its just for household bills, then can do worse than santander, as earn a couple of quid cashback each month.
