Does a Tank printer that does duplex scanning actually exist?

How much printing are you doing?0

If you do a lot of duplex document scanning then you need something dedicated
I use a Fujitsu IX500 scansnap - though I'm sure by now the model has been superseded.
Note though that these are intended for semi-pro use and need setting up to your desires in the options/scan profile settings rather than just plug it in and off you go.

Is it that much of a deal breaker, that is to flip the page and run it through some software? My ecotank duplex prints so I assume you can combine two scans for one page.
Coming from a laser back to ink was a bit of a leap of faith for me but the eco tank costs are way down and page yields claimed way higher than the league of laser printers I was in for home use. If it was not often and a software option with a duplex print, certainly worth a think?1 -
I've just bought the Epson Eco Tank ET8500, and it does duplex printing. Though haven't tried it yet.

OP - You have not said whether you need A3 or A4, but if only A4 is required and at the price-point you are willing to be at, I purchased one of these HP Laser All-in-One. I absolutely cannot fault it in any way.

My model is discontinued now but, if I needed to replace then I'd just get the direct successor machine. Take care to pick the correct options for connectivity and duplexing etc.
I do what I consider to be a lot of home-working office job and only need one set of toner per year.0
