PCM LTD - Failed Appeal

Need some advice please on what to do next?
Should of come to this forum first, but i didn't i'm afraid, hope it's not too late!
Got a PCN parking fine from PCM Ltd  (IPC registered) for parking in a visitor bay at a block of flats on private land.
Was visiting a resident there and forgot to ask her for a parking permit, have parked in this visitor bay many times before without a permit or any problems.
Got back to the vehicle and had a yellow PCN on the windscreen asking for £60 which i just find a total rip off, the car park was totally empty with loads of empty visitor bays.
So i appealed as the driver (using a false name!) saying my friend couldn't find her permit at the time and they have rejected it!
They said we should of contacted them prior to parking and they could have stopped a PCN being issued.
So now they say i have two weeks to pay or it will rise to £100!  & If i don't pay it they will get in the debt collectors.
I Really can't afford to pay this at the moment, so what is the best way to tackle this after a failed appeal using a false name but correct home address.
I've even given them my friends (the resident) contact details to confirm that i was a genuine visitor, but they still just want the penalty charge fee!
I just feel this is a money making scam and i don't want to pay it.
Any help and advice much appreciated. TIA

Lying won't help your case , especially if it gets to court

Nothing you can do if the appeal was rejected , nothing will make it disappear apart from a landowner cancellation , management cancellation , or you pay in full

Or they issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton within the next 6 years , for the full amount of £100 plus Court and legal fees , making it about £200 if you lose in court

It's irrelevant what you can afford or not , doesn't even feature in the legal claim or case

It's not a fine or penalty , it's a private parking charge notice , an invoice

Debt collector letters and debt collectors are powerless , irrelevant

Court is where it's decided , nothing will happen without a court order , within 6 years in England and Wales , or 5 in Scotland

    Ownership is irrelevant

If the parking company are to progress it , they will either post out a notice to Keeper or pass onto debt collectors , before an MCOL court claim

Yes, ignore it.  You appealed using a false name so let's see how PCM cope with that.  They can't just send a 'court order'!

They should send the registered keeper a notice to keeper in the post by day 56.  Come back if and when they do, or if they start sending final demands to the false name.

If you get past day 56 without a NTK in your correct name as keeper then you cannot be held liable under the POFA, albeit i do not condone how you appealed.

CERTAINLY NO PAYING PCM.  They 'make it up most of the time' too, according to their appearance on Watchdog Rogue Traders a few years back.

Read the other two PCM threads from the weekend that I replied on, to see why this bunch are simply not worthy of your money.

    Hi Coupon-mad,
Just giving you an update as requested.
Gone well past Day 56 now with no NTK to the correct name.
But i have received a demand for outstanding payment letter in the post to the false name from Trace Debt Recovery,
It says i have to now pay £170 within 14 days or face the risk of escalation through their clients solicitor with further charges and the risk of escalation through the courts.
    What's my next step please?
Don't want to let these rogue traders get my hard earned money!

Powerless debt collectors can be ignored. The fourth post of the NEWBIES explains why it is safe to do so.

Ignore Trace.  Loads of threads laughing at their desperate letter chain.
