Good morning
Dry and bright 🌞 here this morning, totally different to last night when it poured down and was blowing a gale. Unsurprisingly we didn't have any trick or treaters👻, so the sweets I bought can go in the food bank today.
I'm going over to a friends this morning for coffee ☕ then the day is my own😊
I'm planning on making some curried parsnip soup as DH got some yellow stickered. I need to organise the freezers so we can eat them down a bit before Xmas
Have a good day 🌻12 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
Its a bright but very breezy morning, I put bed linen in the washer overnight, so its out on the line, had to de-frost the hands when I came in. Busy morning. DB has an appointment for his eye pre op. I need to put fuel in the car and then we are going on to spend half an hour with our neighbour, its her birthday. The library comes this afternoon, we were away last time it came. I have 7 books ready, I ordered them ages ago.
Have had to take painkillers this morning, sure sign the weather has changed.
Supper tonight will be cold chicken, jaket spud, tomato and celery salad and another dish of the oranges in jelly.10 -
Morning everyone
I'm not feeling too well today so I've phoned work to say I'll not be in - annoying as it's the first day back. Wheezed and coughed all night and think I've probably got a chest infection - I get them a lot though usually not till it gets colder.
I can only get a telephone appointment at the surgery so I think I'll ring our little hospital and ask what time there will be a doctor there.
TA - your Tesco must be more advanced than ours - we're still on paper delivery notes.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all, another one who's inner clock is all over the place ! The sun is shining and we have blue skies so that's a bonus.Yesterday I re-checked the freezer and realised I still had 6 loaves of bread in there 😮 Had to go back in and change my delivery order ready for tomorrow ! I did notice that items were going in and out of stock at a rate of knots too. I rang Dad last night and he's not eating well again, just snacking, so hopefully he will come over for the day on Wed (I'll know on Tues evening) and I can feed him up with some proper food.Today we will check on the 'van as we had another storm last night with lots more rain. Think it may have taken the power out too as we went dark, street lights and all about 6pm, thankfully it didn't last for long as there were a few children and parents out trick or treating. We will take the car for a long run after the van check. This afternoon I shall I shall relax and do some more of my new jigsaw, I find it therapeutic.Hope everyone has a good day, take care all. Hugs to the poorly ones.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13

DP1 you had me doubting myself so I checked back on the e-mail T*sco sent me! Apparently it's already been trialled in certain areas and now being phased in gradually to all customers. It said it would apply on my next order but I haven't had the e-receipt yet! But I may be rushing them as my slot isn't until 4 to 5 pm. Patience isn't one of my stronger qualities! (And btw I hope you managed to see or speak to a Doctor and soon feel better)
Well true to the weatherman's words the rain has now eased off and there are even small (very small!) pockets of blue sky emerging."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Been out this morning putting leaflets about the sale through letterboxes - Mr F got his fingers bitten by a dog that was waiting behind a door.
I have got bookings for 10 tables - only room for 12 so doing okay.
Worked on some more girl gnomes/gonks.
Two parcels arrived today so I am well stocked up with fur for beards.
Off out soon for a meal and a course at the SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
