Good morning,
Very heavy showers here, it's been raining all night and I've been awake for most of it
So as a result I have no plans for today as I'm exhausted🥱. I did go for a 9 mile walk with my sister yesterday then out for a lovely lunch and catch up with my best friend, I ate so much that I didn't eat anything else yesterday and I'm still not really hungry now.
I enjoyed Strictly last night, especially Rose💃, she seems so natural and joyful. We have started watching Shetland, we're on the second season now, I don't know why we didn't watch it first time around but we are enjoying it now.
Have a good day🌻9 -
Morning, Hugs if you need one.
We have the heavy rain too, its siling down, the roads out of the village will be flooded, hope they have gone down by tomorrow, we have to go into Melton.
Peony - I find my fibro is worse in winter, I had a flare up just a few weeks ago when it was quite cold, its settled for the time being, although I know its there. It does not help that I have osteoporosis as well.
Veggies done for supper, I want to try and finish the book cushion, so I can take it to show B when we go in tomorrow. I also have a set of snowflakes to give to her. They are a Christmas present for someone.
DB is going through files, we need to reduce paper work, I want to get rid of the cupboard we store them in, so need to find somewhere else to put them. Cupboard space is at a premium here.
Supper tonight is chicken with veggies, am going to make a fruit jelly for dessert, it will last us a few days.8 -
Morning all.
Thanks for the thread and hugs to all those in need.
Horrendous weather last night and the water levels are up. I expect wellbeing red boarded soon.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester.

Taff, the clocks went back not forward last night, I hope that was a slip of the fingers! I remember the relief when our family home was sold and that was a house I lived in from birth, next door to the house mum was born and brought up in (although that was a mediaeval farmhouse that was demolished when I was a child - shame), I'm not very sentimental I'm afraid.
I feel a bit more human today having managed about 8 hours sleep. We travelled from rainy Yorkshire last night to even rainier Bedfordshire today. I need to get on with things here, the place is looking very messy, I've just had a conversation with Steve about changing the very beige carpet in the living room, it's past its best and I'm very fed up with the colour.
After changing some of the carpets in the Yorkshire house I want some of that newness here.
It's Esben's second birthday next week, how the time has flown, even if a lot of it has been spent in lockdown. In actual fact we ended up spending more time with him than we would have if it hadn't been for lockdown because they ended up living with us for two extended periods of time. We've developed a lovely close bond as a result.
Chris is recovering from his bout of Covid, it hit him quite hard and he is a fit man in his mid-thirties, double jabbed in July and having had Covid once before (he took part in an anti-body trial which showed he'd had it in March 2020). He'll be going back to work on Monday so long as he tests negative.
Have a good day.10 -
Very wet here when I walked to Church. It had dried up by the time we came home.
nannywindow - I loved watching the Smurfs. I have ordered more long file fur in different colours so who knows what my new makes will look like.
snoozer - concerning that even double jabbed and having had Covid that you can still be made poorly.
I have some ironing that I will get out of the way. Then I may work on some more girl gnomes. I made boy gnomes yesterday.

Afternoon everyone
Little one woke at half past 4 this morning so I'm feeling quite washed out! She is now fast asleep. All last week she has woken DD at 5.30 so this morning was my turn. She cuddled in with me for a little while then watched The Gruffalo and Stickman on my Ipad. I must have dozed off as she'd wandered downstairs, still attached to her milk, built an 'enormous mountain' of toys ( her words!) in the hallway and come back up to bed! I gave in at half past 6 and just got up.
We've been done to mam and dads this morning - I got dads computer jobs done and mam played with little one - when we came home again it was pouring - my jeans got soaked so I'm now quite tidy on my top half and wearing pyjama bottoms.
DD will pick her up when she wakes and then they're going to a Halloween party later this afternoon....I'm planning a quiet afternoon with my Sunday Times.
Hope everyone has a good day

Florenceem - those made me smile so much, and took me right back to my school days when we called them gonks and had one on our desks during written exams. Lovely things. My Halloween cakes are made, I'm only going to decorate three squares with the marshmallows, icing and faces. One each is enough for the boys, I find icing too sweet for me though I'm sure that the left over marshmallows won't last too long.9

Gers - yes I was at school when gonks were the in thing. I don't mind if people call my makes gnomes or gonks - I just hope that they will pay for them to raise money for the SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Just put outside and hall lights off - my bowl of sweets is now empty! Little great nephew came up with his mum and dad to show me his skeleton costume - he took his mask off to show me he wasn't scary! Little one came back hyper from her party so pleased she's away home with DD! She'd been up dancing with some big girls.
Going for a nice bath now - I've got such a sore throat and a cold - did a test and it's nothing worse, thank goodness. Back to work tomorrow so I'll have an early night7
