Yellow box junction fine - Invisible box!

Hi,

I need some advice on how to further appeal a Yellow box junction fine.

I am appealing on the grounds that the Yellow Box junction is not clearly visible.

What do you think??

A Satellite view does show the yellow box junction AND the view from the traffic cameras does show it but it is clear that the Yellow Box lines are extremely faded.

I appealed already but this was rejected. I had provided photo evidence only at the time. The response I received seems automated. It looks like a standard letter and it looks like nobody is even checking the appeals.

Appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

There is enough there to recognise that it is a box junction

Apart from that yellow box, it is also a Red Route - a Clearway.
See the sign and the double red lines here...

My personal view is that the box is too faded for motorists to be able to see it when the road is wet and the light is not good, as it was in the photos. If you can show that the weather and lighting conditions at the time of the offence were as they were in the photos, I think you may be let off if you go to court and stick to your story that the lines were too faint to be seen before you entered the box junction. An overhead view of the box taken in good light is going to present a very different view to the box when appraoching it in poor light  and wet weather.

Usually going to court is a lottery, and normally results in a larger fine and more points, but given the ambigous nature of the road marking, I'm inclined to think taht even if you were found guilty, the court would probably give you three points and a fine that was perhaps just double what you would pay if you paid the ticket.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

There is no court with LA penalties.

Your video shows the box markings as not fit for purpose IMO and they nearly always reject an appeal  anyway, take it to pepipoo as advised your next step would be adjudication which being independent might succeed.
