Really impressed that you not only put the coat back on Vinted but you listed one of your own as well. That's fab.

  • Not a great deal of activity - sold some left over paving slabs on FB marketplace for £40 and a trolley thing on castors today for £15 but spent this on some new winter boots and gloves for DD and put the rest towards the fencing costs that we put on the CC - Done a bot more Xmas Shopping and even wrapped some of it - dare I say I'm almost done - feels so good to be organised so early.
Took the dog for a long walk this morning then came back and cleaned and mopped the kitchen and bathed the dog.
Hubby wants a takeaway tonight - cant really complain - he spends barely nothing - however I don't fancy it so Ive bought a posh looking pizza from Al*i - £3
    Have a great evening everyone

  • Cancelled my phone contract today as it was coming to the end of the 2 years - was costing me £56 per month - Managed to get 9BG for £9 per month but the first 6 months of the 12 month contract are £4.50 - Plus £18 Cashback - Well pleased with that saving
Also listed something on Ebay which I hope will sell for £100-£150 - already have a starting bid of £25 on it so thats good - got some more things to list over the next week or so too.
Did a PA survey yesterday with 2 parts  - the 2nd part is much shorter and need to be done tomorrow but the pay is £14-17 for both which will mean I have more than £20 to cash out. PA has been really good for surveys for me recently.
I have been off work on leave this week, my first day back is supposed to be next Sunday but I have a training day on Thursday and I have booked 6 hours of overtime on Saturday so all moving in the right direction but wont get paid for the O/T until January.
Doing really well with my Christmas Shopping but tbh cant wait until its all done so that I can refocus my energies and finances on the debts once more

Sounds like you are taking the right kind of steps to help your future self.

I have a sign on my door. 'Will my future self thank me for this decision?'

  • That is certainly a great motto to keep in mind and apply to all areas of life savingholmes!
  • Its been a good few days money wise - Made a couple of good ebay sales and still have things on there yet to finish with bids on.
Made another £250 overpayment on the loan - woo-hoo! Cant wait to log in at the end of the week and see how much interest has been rebated due to this overpayment.
Also paid off in full the money I put onto the credit card for the dog fencing - This has already been worth its weight in gold - so nice to be able to let the dog out without him digging the lawn up/bringing loads of mud in!
Ive managed to do this without skinting myself either - most of the Christmas shopping has now been done and all my virtual pots in my savings account are topped up too - decided to add another couple of categories - 'Birthdays' which I worked out I need to add £35 per month to going forward from the New Year (but its already got some in it ) and 'Boat Re-furb' which is money to do maintenance and refurb jobs on the boat as opposed to the 'Boat Expenses' Pot which covers things like Mooring fees, river licence and insurance.
Feeling positive and in control at the minute

  • Just checked the loan account and £327.86 interest rebate has been applied thanks to my £250 overpayment.
Also managed to list about 10 things on E8ay
Got a busy few days coming up - a works training course tomorrow which falls on my day off (boo!) 6 hours overtime on Saturday and 2 x 12 hour shifts on Sunday and Monday.
I do dislike working weekends though

Well done on the bay listing. Sounds like a tough weekend - but well done you. Hope you manage to fit in some rest soon too though.
