My car's service bill

guys, I am still processing your replies. Thanks, think i will learn a bit of things from them lol
meanwhile, the car is a peugeot 208 automatic.
It's neither Kwik-fit or Halfords. It's a popular garage locally (still a chain but would rather not given name unless absolutely necessary). A friend recommended it to me. last year, I did MOT with them only and all good (freely serviced first at dealer's).
I just found last year's servicing record, seems front brake was already quite worn?
I think yesterday they did tell me they changed brake because manufacturer's recommendation etc etc. (I didn't pay too much attention, as really know 0 about cars orz)

So noclues(!) to what car it is? Can't judge whether reasonable without that.1

more updates
I should've uploaded the other two notes. One is what included in the master/full service, the other is extra notes.

..seems reasonable to me?...had to get my rear discs done last year at 20k miles as they had bad corrosion, (apparently discs are made of a grade of metal that is designed to give good grip, but can develop corrosion, also probably not helped by low mileage, ie less "wear", but more corrosion?)
.."It's everybody's fault but mine...."1 -
Decent price for the service and MOT alone. However, I’m not sure why they’re charging for special oil when they’re already using 5w30 fully synthetic. Also listing a Crossland brand filter means they’re getting cheap parts from EuroCarParts.2

Good to have that confirmed - it seems like a reasonable call for them to replace the discs due to wear, then - ie it would have been touch and go whether they'd last another year! The only issue, really, is cost? All you can do here is call up a couple of alternative garages, and ask them to quote for the same job, and then see. But, unless there's a huge saving to be made, I'd stick with the garage you know and, hopefully, trust.1 -
I think it's just the confusing way it's been outlined in the invoice. The service cost is a flat charge, inclusive of standard oil and the engine oil "upgrade" listed earlier accounts for the extra cost of using the 5w30 longlife stuff.KimJongUn88 said:Decent price for the service and MOT alone. The mention of Crosland oil filters means nothing, you can get those from just about any motor factors, and so what if they're using ECP, a lot of garages do.1 -
They changed brake pads which didn't need changing even according to themselves (60% worn, which was probably an exaggeration anyway) and they changed two discs which definitely didn't need changing0

Cheapest oil filter available? Why do they skimp on an oil filter?Cheap pads and plugs = you change them more often. Cheap filters could be an early death of an engine?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1
