You should get your final bill from your supplier within 6 weeks. If you haven’t got yours, contact them to ask for it so you can see if you’re owed money.

If it takes longer than 6 weeks to get the bill, you’ll automatically get £30 in compensation from them. If the compensation isn’t paid within 10 working days, they’ll pay you another £30.

They must refund money left on your account no matter how long ago the account was closed.

They have to pay back anything they owe you within 10 working days of sending your final bill. If they don’t, they’ll owe you an extra £30 in compensation. If the compensation isn’t paid within 10 working days, they’ll pay you another £30.

When I left Neon Reef I had to follow their rather unusual process of activating a new Direct Debit authorisation in order for them to refund the credit on the account. I discovered this process when I used their online chat channel to request the refund. I did receive the refund about 10 days after following their process with a new DD authorisation. I didn't pus for a £30 compensation due to delay.

I think you're muddling up three different things:

• Your final bill, which Neon Reef should issue within 6 weeks of you leaving;
• Your refund, which Neon Reef should pay within 2 weeks of your final bill; and
• compensation due if either of those things are late, which could be £30 for each plus another £30 if they're late paying it.
