Failed to collect eBay C+C item on time

I was too late to collect an eBay purchase delivered to an Argos store.
I got the impression that the item is returned to the seller and a refund is processed automatically.
The refund was begun on 20 October but I'm not seeing evidence of progress and the page is asking me to mark the item as dispatched, which seems odd.
Should I do something or sit tight?

In case anyone's interested: nothing happened. The seller didn't reply, the return did not progress. I didn't want to mark the item as dispatched because a) it probably hadn't been, and b) it wasn't for me to action. Bizarrely, the Argos store has now closed down, so nothing to be done there. I could probably force through some sort of appeal or PP chargeback but it would probably be at the seller's expense, which would be wrong since they are not at fault. So I'll have to take it on the chin, as I did with a previous Argos C+C that went awry during lockdown; about £19 down in total0

Have you tried contacting eBay and explaining the Argos store is now closed down? i would expect eBay to refund out if their pocket if that is the issue.1

I tried following the 'contact us' link, but it just led me in circles around the help pages -- none of which related to the situation. Is there a generic email address I could use?0
