Payment of Inheritance

I inherited a substantial amount of money from my aunt.  It was paid by cheque.  So were my husband's and son's inheritances, although they were token compared to mine.

Thank you. Well the solicitor was on holiday last week so fingers crossed I may hear about it this week coming and the request of address was to post a cheque.

Do all beneficiaries have to sign off on the statement of accounts before they pay your share?

No, I don't beleive so - residual beneficiaries are entitled to see it but there is no requirement for them to approve or sign it off.

Just a quick update, so executors have received a letter letting them know that the estate is ready to be paid out and asking them to confirm BACS details however so far benefices have still yet to have received any contact. Fingers crossed won’t be long.

Good news - just to clarify, are you the OP under a different username, or just someone in a similar situation ?
