A bit of a long shot but does anyone know where I can get a replacement diffuser for a Nuaire 2000?
  • Humidity in our house sits constantly around the 62-66% area, getting paranoid now whether I should be worried or not!? 🙀
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈

70s house, double glazing, gas CH, 3 adults (and a dog) . Humidity never goes above 60, normally between 51 & 58

1996 build, often have humidity in high 70's, try to use a dehumidifier to control it and ventilate the house, however it's just down to where we live, I use this to figure out whether it's actually worth ventilating or if I'm just letting even more damp air into the house.

Right now indoors is 10% higher RH than if I heated the outside air up to the same temperature, cooking, breathing and evaporation is all to blame here as we have 2 tropical fish tanks too!

    OP here.

My windows yesterday at 8am, inside temperature in the morning around 17C and RH of 76%, outside 5C:

Then at around 7pm I finished installing PIV in my hallway:

Today 8am, outside temperature again 5C, inside around 17C with RH 67%:

I know these things take weeks to fully manifest themselves but after just around 13h of running I can already see positive results so I am very happy. Installation was relatively simple and the unit consumes just 11W per hour of running. The only downside is that the hall is a bit cooler, but I am not too worried as next month I am getting heating converted from oil to gas and I will finally have a proper learning thermostat so I'm sure it will compensate for it.

I am running home automation and keep track of temperature and humidity. I will wait a week or two and come back here again with a graph showing how humidity levels continue to change.
Hi OP, appreciate it's been a couple of years since your last reply on this thread but I'm wondering how things are going with your PIV now that it's settled in and you've been able to use it through all seasons? I've been doing plenty of research and you seen to have a good handle on gathering data so keen to hear your views!
