New bathroom extractor fan

Hello, I've had an electrician out to quote for an extractor fan for our bathroom in the house we've just moved into. It doesn't currently have one.
For context the bathroom is in the back of the house which is the third storey - (imagine a terrace house set into a slope with the lower floor being partially basement so the back of the house is taller than the front). Hence not a quote for a through the wall type as would need scaffold or a tower. There is also a loft hatch in the room so easyish access.
Wire and install 1 x 4 inch Inline fan (255m3 per hour) with timer and isolator, vented to fresh air via high rise kit. Test and certificate installation. £456 Inc VAT.
Does this sound fair?
Thank you

Yes, it sounds fair as a quote. However, I'm not a fan of fans on timers if you will forgive the pun. A timer doesn't know whether the fan needs to run or not, a humidistat does. Timers seem to get it wrong 100% of the time, running when they don't need to and stopping before they should. However adding a humidistat to the design with add more cost. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

You can get a fan with a inbuilt humidistat, only about £30 extra1

Piggy backing on to this - how much do you think it might cost to have a simple fan replaced? The current one has no timer or humidistat so I'd probably be replacing like for like.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I'd be happy to give it a try but the OH would probably shriek in horror.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards.
