Dishwasher problem

I have a Hotpoint Ultima dishwasher which I inherited when we bought the house. Looking at the paperwork it was bought in 2012 so knocking on a bit.
I'm getting an error code A13 which upon googling shows as a circuit board problem. Does anyone have the experience to be able to tell me if its going to be worth getting someone out to it. If its going to cost a lot then I may as well have a new one.
Thanks

Depends who you get out. Hotpoint charge around £150 a call out excluding parts
If you decide to get a new one have a look at AO Outlet Telford Ebay. Brought a few appliances from them and always been very good1 -
Thank you. Definitely wouldnt be worth getting Hotpoint out, may as well go for a new one as due to the age it may not be fixable anyway.0

Unless you can DIY older white goods are rarely economical to fix as the cost of the man in his van far outweighs the cost of parts and often close to the cost of a new machine. Fixed my fridge a couple of weeks ago, £6.95 thermostat from Ebay, would have been in the skip if I couldn't have done it myself.

A13 Seeing soap dispenser as a possible fault(open/closed circuit)
Could be wiring fault or dispenser catch within the door.0 -
Before throwing it out, it may be worth checking how much a new board would cost. There are videos online about how to fit them, or a local engineer may cost £50-60.turnitround said:Thank you. Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Get some recommendations for white good repairers, you might find they would be able to find out how much a new board would be then you can get an idea if its worth getting it fixed.0
