iOS 15 not available to me yet

I have seen the announcements around iOS 15 and noted that it was released around 21st Sep. However checking my iphone, the only software update available is version 14.8. As I have an iPhone 8, web pages I have seen suggest I should be able to upgrade. I only want to do this to keep my phone as secure as possible. Should i be worried that it is not showing as available? Have you installed iOS 15 and if so how did you do it? TIA

I have a Iphone 8 and so does my daughter and we have all updated to 15.
I can remember the setting screen saying my software was up to date IOS 14..... and then there as a separate box at the bottom offering IOS 15.
I would do the update to 14.8 and any other 14 updates first and then it may offer you 15Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £18,886.271 -

Thanks Abbafan1972. I will give that a go and see if it comes through.

Have you scrolled down far enough?
14.8 will be offered as an update, 15 (or 15.1 now) should be offered as an upgrade which appears below.1 -
It’s a new approach apple have taken to upgrading iOS. It gives people the option of staying with the previous iOS version if they so choose.lr1277 said:
Thank you. Yes I did that and iOS 15 was offered below. Not seen that feature before.Sandtree said:Have you scrolled down far enough?

FYI even my 6S is now on IOS15 ... in fact I've just checked and can see the 15.1 update (which I'm applying now).

My iphone SE (2016) upgraded to 15 and now 15.1, for which I'm grateful. I got a new battery for it for £40 and it's got a second wind, so I can put off having to buy a new model for a while.

Has everyone's new ios badly damaged the battery? My battery capacity has decreased by 6%

How old is your phone? The battery capacity monitor appeared to be pretty unreliable in previous iOS versions so perhaps they've changed itMovaraks said:Has everyone's new ios badly damaged the battery? My battery capacity has decreased by 6%0
