For those posters focusing only on any potential financial loss, there is also the matter of the time the individual has spent chasing Nationwide's errors up to consider, however £25 seems reasonable for a nominal hour.0

I had a two problems with my recent switch to Santander (the first switch attempt failed due to a technical error which meant I had to call them for 45mins), and secondly they failed to switch a direct debit.I got £75 for the first issue and £25 for the second. I always complain to banks and push for maximum compensation.0

Lo and behold, Nationwide have paid my OH a sum of £25 yesterday, marked as "sundries", no secure message or text though, but that closes that complaint for us.0

I'm having a problem switching to Nationwide too. My new account hasn't been opened even though its open on their side and the switch has not happened. They don't know why and are still looking into, no offer of any compensation yet, despite starting this process 3 weeks ago and having to have called 4 times already. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2022 - £670.45 /£667.95
