Galaxy S10 though I imagine all Androids on this version (11) will have this?
Just having a play around in settings and noticed I don't have device protection turned on. Not sure why. I'm wondering if when i set it up i saw a video advising against it, though that doesn't ring any bells. I don't remember changing any settings on this page any.
Is it worth it at all? What's it exactly protected from?
Don't really want to start messing with settings if it's best not to so i'll ask first.

It protects your phone against suspicious activity/threats, malware etc.....You can turn it on and scan your phone then just leave it on.
If you turn it on it will explain itself.

Not on this here Moto on Android 11 (unless they've called it something else or hidden it).JustAnotherSaver said:Galaxy S10 though I imagine all Androids on this version (11) will have this?0 -
It's a Samsung setting, in partnership with McAfee, so won't be on other Androids.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Yes, me to, but, it's been tweaked by Samsung for their phones and doesn't cause any problems. The choice is there on or off it's down to the user.Stompa said:

Hmm McAfee. I'm not big on what's good and what isn't but I do remember that the last time I heard/read about McAfee it was along the lines of don't bother having it on your PC.Think i'll give it a miss.0

Actually, I was a bit misleading when I said it doesn't cause any problems, it does cause some battery drain. I don't have it activated permanently on my phone, I turn it on and off as required for a quick scan when downloading any apps I'm not 100% sure of. That said, I've not downloaded any for a while now, but, It's never found anything, so not sure how effective it is.JustAnotherSaver said:Hmm McAfee.
