B&Q bathroom Installation delay

Hi Guys.. i hope everyone is safe and well.. i availed of B&Qs 5 year 0% offer for a new bathroom.. we were given an installation date of September 13 2021 but this was cancelled by B&Q as apparently they dont have any installer to take on the job. We were told that they are finding new installers and they told us that they will call us for an update after 2 weeks. We did not receive a call so we followed this up by calling and we were passed on to one staff to another. We now are unable to speak to our named project manager as he is on his break, he is with a customer, he is busy etc but instead we are now told that it may take 6 -8 weeks before they can even give us a start date.
Now 6 weeks had passed we called and looked for our named project manager but we were given the same reasons as before.. was with a customer, on his break just went out etc and now they are telling us that it maybe next year now as their new installers are delayed in submitting their paper work..
We have now started paying for the project..
we feel that we are just being played because of all the excuses to avoid speaking to us..
Is there anything else we can do
apart from waiting? And cancelling the install? What happens with the loan?
any sensible suggestions? Many thanks..

There is a LONG wait for fitters in most areas at the moment.
I find it concerning that they are "finding new installers". I hope they're going to be checking the quality of these!
Personally as they have been unable to fit it, I would cancel the whole thing and buy from a local bathroom fitter who will be able to give you a much more realistic date of when you can get a bathroom fitted.
I was given a date of March 2022 for mine so we are fitting it ourselves!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
5 years at 0% simply means that you are paying a huge mark-up on the real price for components and fitting : don't be fooled. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Quite. I'd follow pinkshoes' advice. Cancel the deal and look elsewhere.macman said:5 years at 0% simply means that you are paying a huge mark-up on the real price for components and fitting : don't be fooled.1 -
Thank you all for the suggestions.. we will look into the small print of the contract and proceed from there.. hope we wont be penalised in cancelling it..0
