UK Parking Control Limited - County Court Claim

Hi guys, another question!
From what I've read, when I request the SAR they have one month to respond. However, I have to submit my defence by 15th November, so I won't have had a reply from them by then. Does this matter?
Many thanks.0 -
Probably not , same as everyone else who is at the Defence stage ( it may have been useful , but is more useful at the WS plus Exhibits stage in several months time )m3377 said:Hi guys, another question!

We recommend sending a SAR at LBC stage with a 30 days notice LBC hold to the same time , to stop this impasse occurring , but it's no Biggie in 99% of cases !1 -
I just wanted to post here the good news that the hearing was today and the judge dismissed the case! After listening to all of the evidence and reviewing the witness statement we provided, the judge ruled that the car parking space was indeed not fit for purpose. Another defeat for UK Parking Control!
Thank you so much for everyone who replied and gave assistance!! And good luck to anyone else who takes them on!!3 -
Yay! Bet your FIL was pleased. Did you speak for him as a lay rep, or did he handle it?
Was it by phone or video, or in person?
Did he ask for costs or is he retired and didn't have any?

Yes, we were both very pleased!! I was going to have to pay the fine if it went the other way!!
It was by phone and I was named as the layperson but we were both on the call. The judge got very frustrated originally when the UKPC solicitor tried to say that as my FIL admitted not being the driver he couldn't submit a defence! Which was ridiculous. As the call went on he then tried to say that we should have chosen a different space, which is as equally ridiculous!!
We didn't ask for costs - after 6 years of harassment we just wanted this over and done with.3 -

I second all this. Follow the guidelines, adhere to the deadlines, keep your cool when faced with snotty communications from the claimant (and their agents) and it is quite a buzz when you win in court.Coupon-mad said:Congrats! Well done on beating those parasites!2 -
The judge said ....the car parking space was indeed not fit for purpose.
Seems the other side were "not fit for purpose" either ??
WELL DONE2
