FOS say I’m not an eligible complainant - what can I do?

  • All you can ask is they don't send further mail to the address.
    Cross out the postal address, mark the mail return to sender or RTS then pop into a post box.
  • Has the OP looked into trying CIFAS if there is a concern over fraud ?
    I can fully appreciate that large organisations are utterly uninterested in correcting error in their own records; I had mobile SIMs arriving at my address in someone else's name. Aware that someone might be trying to establish address records for identity related fraud, I tried contacting the different operators and it was a complete waste of time. As I wasn't a registered customer at that address, it didn't matter to them one jot somebody was using my address to apply for services. They wouldn't even discuss the topic of getting the records altered or flagged as incorrect/dubious.

    The organisation will be receiving a large volume of returned mail everyday. Takes time to sort through at the best of times. Even longer with a high % of staff now working from home.
