Samsung Tab S6 Lite - moving images

Hi,  How do I move a WhatsApp image to my Gallery (folder).  I have managed to move the image into 'photographs' but would like to move the image into a particular folder in the gallery.

Photos from Whatsapp/camera/copied manually should appear automatically in the gallery.  You shouldn't have to do anything.

I don't think you can have "folders" as such in the gallery, as the app will sort everything by default in date order.

Or have I misunderstood?

Thank you Neil,

  There are photographs and gallery  my gallery is split up into several sub folders containing photographs.  The WhatsApp photo appears in 'photographs' then you have to select this image (by firm pressure on photo) then you select 'more' (bottom right) which gives you choices - Move to gallery is one, select this then go to the sub folder in gallery tap this and if by magic the WhatsApp picture appears (phew!!)

There must be a better way of achieving!?

If you go to WhatsApp settings -Chats - Media visibility, turn it on all your WhatsApp photos will be saved in their own album within your Gallery.

Can you tell me where in my galley.  My gallery is split up into several headings and none of the WhatsApp images shown in the WhatsApp page appear.

Do you have your settings as Rumrat mentioned ?

Under Gallery (its a OnePlus phone app) there's a Whatsapp folder with photos I've been sent on Whatsapp, I do need to scroll right to the bottom though.

Have you downloaded Google photos ? similar setup in there.

Yes, I have Rumrat's settings but the images do not appear in my gallery - where in the gallery should they appear? Are the images shown in the WhatsApp page under 'chats' actually in the gallery?

Not having much success with my Tab S6. I have accidentally archived the WhatsApp photos, how do I unarchive these!!  so I can eventually move them to my gallery.
