Heat pumps aren't a new technology; they have been around for years.

I can imagine that having gas central heating could be seen as a liability in 15 years, when you can't buy a replacement boiler if the old one breaks down.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

.. or the price of gas has continued to soar.. Maybe you'll have to budget for a new hydrogen adapted boiler?!

Most (all ?) manufacturers are producing boilers that will run on hydrogen - Initially on a 10-20% mix of gas & H2, but capable of 100% H2 after swapping out the jets.
Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Yes I mentioned recently that they've been in shops and offices for some years, but that's no guarantee that they have been particularly economical; perhaps their choice was more about the practicality of having heating and cooling in the one compact (indoor) package.  Time will tell.

On the banning of FF boilers, there could well be some revision to the deadline in the next 15 years.  The targets appear very ambitious
