ParkingEye/DCB ltd/Asda - have I taken the wrong approach?

  • Ok that's my (sort of) area and there are a lack of signs under the section behind the cinema with a roof, and ParkingEye's aerial map misses that area out in POPLA evidence.

Does this mean that when PE call upon their maps of where the signs are they'll see that the signage there is missing? So if the driver was parked in this area then their ability to pursue is limited?

I would give the name and address of the driver and tell DCB Ltd that the debt is disputed due to lack of signs and the driver's name and address is xxxxxxx.  So they must now return the case as 'disputed' to ParkingEye, as per CSA and FCA debt recovery rules about disputed debt.

Is this best done across e-mail or phone?

    Definitely not by phone.
This court business is important stuff.
You want a written record of everything.

Do this by email, otherwise where is your paper/email trail of proof?

It means what I said, they will struggle to win at POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Gotcha. Will email them in next 24 hours

  • Coupon-mad summed this up ....

    "Don't pay!

If ParkingEye were going to sue they would have done themselves and not sent it to DCB Ltd to send bully boy letters and add a false £60".

It is difficult to understand why Parking Eye go down the "shabby road" and use such collectors such as DCBL.  PE do their own dirty work and DO NOT add fake amounts.
How can they because the case they won in the Supreme Court made a ruling which said

"The main reason for the charge was to meet the costs of enforcing the parking rules"

Very simply put ..... the charge includes all recovery costs.

The question is, are PE prepared to make themselves look idiots in court by going against the Supreme Court ?

PE are much smarter than DCBL, they are using DCBL like a public convienience and a freebie debt collector ..... let DCBL waste their own money. I cannot ever see DCBL taking a PE case to court with the prospect of PE losing

One day, DCBL will wake up that they are being used and abused.

Both being BPA members who are driving standards down, PE using add-on fakers to scare people PROVES THAT ?

  • Hmm, anyone know the e-mail address for DCBL for me to say to them what @Coupon-mad suggested

I know it's been posted numerous times on here in the last 2 years , but should be on their letter or website

Why would you want to contact DCBL who are scamming you ?

If you want to write a letter, ask Parking Eye what the fake add-on is about?

👆am following this advice from earlier in the thread
