We have started getting this message on our PC this PC doesn’t currently meet all the system requirements for Windows 11.
Do we need windows 11 and if we do what do we need to do to get it?
TIA

I'm no expert but from what I've read no you do not need it, so far it seems to be in the XP versus Vista categoryHave a prowl on You TubeWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

having upgraded laptop to windows 11 and desktop remains on windows 10 all i have noticed is that when you press the windows logo on 11 the tiles are limited and the menu has to be scrolled through to find what you need -- on 10 the tiles can be put onto the view window and you can press on what you need -- so i would say made 11 more cumbersome -- not noticed any other changes although i am not technically minded just use computers for internet -- word and excel and a few small games for the grand kids -- no doubt more technical minded people will find improvements -- in the main will not update desktop to windows 11, -- windows 10 as this version to me appears the best0

11 is better than 10, however, there is no need for you to worry about your PC being unable to meet the requirements. Windows 10 is being supported for another 4 years, so just carry on regardless..Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Some minor aspects, and security, are better in Windows 11 than 10, but otherwise the differences are fairly minor. The major problem is that most PCs and laptops are too old to satisfy the Windows 11 hardware requirements...

You don't need Windows 11 and Windows 10 is to be supported for at least the next four years.
You can usefully download and run the health check they offer and that'll tell you what they want that yours doesn't have. In my case:
1. the solid state storage soldered to the motherboard and not directly expandable is 63GB and they want a 64GB minimum.
2. the Celeron N3450 CPU isn't on their supported CPU list. Intel first released the chip in Q3 2016 and I bought the computer with it in May 2018.
Since the computer is more than ample for just about everything I want to do I'd just override the Widows 11 requirements if I wanted Windows 11, which appears to be a step backwards from 10 in some ways.
I'll consider a new computer only when CPUs with hardware AV1 encoding support become available, preferably in fanless versions, since I like the totally silent computing experience I have now.0 -
