For immediate help to the OP, the ones I've found most useful are theatre and cinema discounts (which seem to start at 60), free prescriptions, and free eyetests. Pretty much everything else I'm interested in (bus pass, winter fuel payment etc) it's wait for state pension age.Signature removed for peace of mind1

Western Digital store offering 15% discount.I was looking this morning at buying some PC parts from the Western Digital store and they seem to offer 15% senior discount if you are 55 or over, they want proof of age sent to register such as a Passport or UK Driving Licence to a partner company SENIORDISCOUNT.I can't seem to turn up any information on the company in any internet searches so I'm wary at parting with any personal information at the moment, has anyone on the forum signed up and used them successfully for any discounts?

If you like eating out this may be useful
We live in a rural area and quite a lot of pubs offer what they call an “OAP lunch”. These are reasonably priced and often come with tea/coffee included. Our favourite is a midweek carvery with home made dessert included. The cheesecake is amazing
it might be worth asking around. You may find the portions are smaller but we’ve found this varies
