Cashback switch to an existing Santander current account

Website message on cashback is 'Already have an eligible current account with us? You can switch a current account you hold elsewhere to your existing Santander one to benefit from this offer. Simply visit your local branch. You may need to book an appointment. This is a limited offer which ends 2 December 2021.' The only way to book an appointment in branch is online and unless there is a problem with the website the earliest available appointment date seems to be 2022!

As discussed in the other thread (here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6296624/santander-130-switch-offer) you can initiate a switch into an existing account over the phone, despite what their website says. Anecdotally, there were also some reports of people being turned away after booking a branch appointment to sort their switches, so I'd give them a call first anyway to save everyone's time.
