Applying for two credit cards

The interest free period on my exisiting credit card is coming to an end so have applied for a new CC offering 0% on purchases and balance transfers. I see that Sainsburys have just started offering a a card with 0% interest on balance transfers and no transfer fee. If I am accepted for the card I have applied for I am considering applying for the Sainsburys card as well to use just for balance transfers. Am I less likely to be accepted for the Sainsburys card as this will be two credit card applications in a short space of time and how much impact would another application have on my credit score?

How they assess you for risk depends on their criteria and your wider files. On a well managed file it's not an issue, though it may make you slightly less likely to get more borrowing in the short term

Your credit score will drop with any change but it's not important.
