Jersey lawyer for Probate.

I hope someone will have some experience of this. I'm currently awaiting letters of administration from UK HMCTS. Most of the estate involved is in Jersey banks.

I need to file probate in the Jersey courts. I was thinking of doing this myself as there is a fast-track process which seems quite easy. However, with travel restrictions and other complications, I'm now thinking of employing a Jersey lawyer.

Does anyone have experience using a Jersey lawyer for probate? Any idea of costs? Any recommendations as to which lawyer to use?

I thought I should share my experience, just in case anyone finds themselves in the same position.

I chose a company called Parslows from the standard list of Jersey solicitors. They operate a fixed-fee scheme for probate fast-track. I found them very helpful, fast and efficient. I received constant updates regarding the process, which was completed very rapidly.

My late mother had Experian shares and I had to apply for Jersey Probate to get them transferred into my name. I can confirm that Parslows were very efficient in dealing with my case and they kept me up to date with the progress of my case. It took about six weeks in total from my engaging them to receiving the Grant of Probate.
