The state of that house appals me, especially as they seem to have had young children living in those conditions.0

It looks nice but it's not particularly any bigger than our current three bed terraced house that sold for £85,000. The only thing that's larger is the garden.
Old thread, but I'm working on my information-finding skills now that I'm in the market for a house again after a long time.
I see on Zoopla that nothing sold on Hambil Close until quite a few months after this thread finished, in April 2022. The sale then was 2 Hambil Close, which Google Maps' Streetview reveals as the property on sale. Against my expectations Rightmove still stores enough of the details of the listing even though the property has been removed by the estate agent, so the street number is easy to find.
The sale price was £237,237 compared to the asking price of £175,000. So, the house was bid up considerably. Looking at the other sales on Zoopla over the years, the £175,000 was a bargain, and I'm not surprised as to the number of offers.
Personally I found it interesting how it was possible to research the house discussed in this years old thread, and see what happened. Which looks nothing like completing in four weeks.
Now I'll go back to reading everyone's opinions about the 'Modern Method of Auction'.1
