Yes, you can also look up what compliance means and it will explain everything you need to know about risk management within a corporate structure.
So your actual loss is a small amount of fuel to drive to their store. I hardly think a small claims court will entertain you.

Your are wasting your time trying to get through on this one.  They want their 'rights'!
Oh those 'rights' compo for hurt feelings and self induced stress.

Let's ask a different question about compliance and corporate risk management.  Do you think anyone will be prosecuted (let alone convicted) for corporate manslaughter after the Grenfell Tower investigation?  Almost certainly not.

In light of that, do you really think that any "enforcement" body is going to be seriously interested in your delayed refund?

You got your money back - Currys aren't worried - neither is anybody else.

The question is the time you will have to spend, which at best is going to get the retailer told to buck their idea's up. Is it worth it. You will not get anything for your time spent...

Just look at all the holiday retailers that broke this very regulation in 2020 & what happened to them? They just got told of their responsibility to timely refund customers.
While they blamed Covid & staff shortages. They forgot that as they were not taking holiday booking that the staff that would deal with that side, were helping to man the phones....
