Does anyone else have any negative experience with this company/ies? They are currently trying to scam my charity out of a year's rental of a franking machine because they never came to collect the machine at the time our contract ended despite repeated requests. I can't find anything much about them and they have a dodgy website and phones that don't seem to go anywhere. They just won't leave us alone. Anyone have similar experience?

Possibly, but that's not important right now.

Send them a written complaint if you believe their request for payment is incorrect.

It means you do not have the consumer rights protection that a private individual would have.


Check your contract carefully. It may have a clause to the effect that you need to give 1 or 2 or even 3 months notice of termination or it will roll over into the next 12 month (or longer) period. If there is such a clause you may well owe them the money


If no such clause they will either tire of harassing you or may institute court proceedings in hope of recovering the money. As you would appear not to be in breach of contract, it should be fairly easy to successfully defend
