@JingsMyBucket - I'm another one who buys those dark, sweet cherries only mine come from Sains and I also eat them with g.s. yoghurt for breakfast.
@joedenise and @Blackcats - I've also got a box of the Simply Cook introductory offer sitting in the kitchen that hasn't yet been used and I've completely forgotten what I chose as well as having cancelled the subscription immediately on the grounds that until I'd tried the pots I didn't know whether they were worth repeating. I'm saving mine for when I need some inspiration as I'm cooking one dish a week from Ottolenghi's Flavour cookbook at the moment.
I spent £3.49 at M*rks on radishes, carrots and coriander on Weds and £8.45 there on milk, yoghurt, cheese and mushrooms yesterday which makes my monthly total £19.82/£120 and my average daily spend £3.30.
I also broke into my Christmas fund for a tin of salt and black pepper cashews at M*rks which I promptly hid at the back of my wardrobe next to the sloe gin. That makes my Christmas fund total £5/£150.
I'll leave anyone who's still reading this photo of Twink's hobnobs that I made on Monday using dark soft brown sugar as that was what I had in. I took them to my Wednesday walking group and they were a great success.

Week 1 of November done and dusted, and we are sitting at £63.57 spent out of the monthly budget. Mainly living out of the cupboards this coming week to allow me to get them cleaned out and organised. Will do a bigger shop on Friday as I start a new job on the 16th and want to have a proper meal plan in place and make sure I have everything sorted.
Baking tins out today to fill the cake tins for the week - some lovely banana loaves and scones - simple but filling, and also had a large pan of thick lentil soup made for lunches over the next couple of days. Only fresh food needed in the next few days - bread and milk, and some veg so looking well within the budget this coming week again !Every days a School day!6 -
Just realized made an error last time – it should have been £25.35 in total.
In addition to that in the last week I’ve spent another £6.35 on coffee, bread and milk (I haven’t used the JS voucher yet), £27.29 on a veg box delivery with cheese, butter and meat (I now have way too many carrots and will need to make soup or something) and £16.05 on drinks out – both the pub with Dad and a couple of coffees while I was tramping about North London this weekend. I also had my first mince pie this year – much too early really but I had it anyway.
