Problem with Gas transfer.

I would suggest you use the avro@octopus.energy address to email them a photo of your meter showing it is metric and tell them about the ongoing dispute. That may help them sort out the transfer problem and get you started on the right settings with Octopus. They can then assist with resolving the original problem which will I imagine have a positive impact on your account balance with Avro.0

Thank you for that.I have already given the details to avro@octopus.energy.The full text on my on-line account is:
Really sorry - we've had a bit of trouble getting you over to us.
The industry body that oversees switching has temporarily stopped your move to us.
There's an error in their data and were working with them to fix this for you as soon as possible.
This might delay your switch a bit, but we'll keep you updated as we go.
So that fits with your reading of the situation.
I was curious to see if there might be a more general problem with Gas .
For what it's worth the difference between Avro's final bill balance and my calculation is either £58 or £82.
The difference between those amounts depends on whether the final meter reading used is the actual reading at 26th September (4252) or the "estimate" used by Avro (4226).

Thanks for the additional info, yes that all stacks up and it looks like they are sorting out the incorrect central meter database entry for you.No, there isn't a more general gas problem, but the gas transfers do usually take a little longer than electric. The final meter reading used may end up as neither of those numbers as the reading can be adjusted by the industry process, but it should be relatively close to your actual reading.I was expecting a larger difference due to the incorrect treatment of your metric meter as imperial though if they have been billing you on the wrong basis?
