Hi.
Friend has one of them, between 5 and 10 years old, with F29 & 54 codes, which suggests a fauly gas valve. I recommended a 'fixed price repair', but don't know who to suggest - Homeserve, Dom&Gen, Vaillaint themselves?
Any thoughts, please?
Thanks.

I recommended Vaillant themselves - he wanted to get it sorted quickly.Would still be interested in other folks experiences0

For a fixed cost repair use Vaillant themselves if they use their own in house technicians
FCR's come with a few conditions, not every part is covered.
Or a pay as you go repair. By a local independent vaillant technician, there listed on the find a local installer page (installers as well as servicing/repairs specialists are listed. Read the more info box or phone them up and ask)
A lot depends on the location, This guy and his team know them boilers back to front. google 'Mark Ray vaillant' also does tech videos & tip's you probably have seen.
Choose Stabila !1 -
Could be covered - the house is in Kennington.I'll pass that on too. Thanks0
