Nissan P0089 but driving fine. Fix or leave?
Just out of boredom I ran a scan on my friends Nissan NV200 dci and I unfortunately I found a new code since I last checked (few months) as far as he and I can tell, the van runs fine. You wouldn't have known it without the OBD scan, certainly no engine light. Clearing the code does nothing, though it's a cheapo bluetooth scanner. Out of concern it might be an injector on the way out, I dropped over to my local garage. Apparently, it's just needing a new fuel rail pressure sensor. Being an uncommon part they've suggest I should try and source this, fair enough. But I can't seem to find this part anywhere apart from eBay. Rightly the garage insists on a Nissan OEM part (new) I have tried phoning, emailing and practically carrier pigeon but I have had no response from them.
Anyone know about these sensors? I'm tempted to either leave it as is, or see if a fettle and a clean might settle things.

Go on Ebay and search for Nissan NV200 dci Breaking. There are a few on there covering a number of years.Send one of them (or all) a message requesting a price for the sensor.

Have you got the part number? Get it and have a look on this site. I saved just under £400 on part for our Nissan. Best brush up on your German!
