How to contact insurers in my list from "CompareTheMarket"?

Silly question here?

For about 20 years, I've been using comparison sites recommended by MSE. No problems

I have the CompareTheMarket list on screen now.

But there's no button saying something like "Visit the site now".

Instead, each insurer has a button at lower right, which says "More details". Pressing that button simply expands the section for that insurer by a few millimeters, and does not  actually give any additional info.

There's no help or info at extreme top or bottom of page.

For info, the URL at top of page begins:

https://home-enquiry-page.comparethemarket.com/?token=.............

Is the URL a clue? It says "Enquiry". Maybe I should be on a page which says "Get a quote idiot!".

Thanks.

Added:  I then went to my CTM account. There's a panel containing "Your quote". Clicking on that panel takes me to a page with the list of quotes that I already have. Still no link to any insurer.

  • I imagine this is intentional - my understanding of Compare the Market is they are a middle man (distribution channel). If you contact the insurer directly; you are cutting out the middle man (which is not actually always the cheapest way of doing thing); so they are not going to volunteer this info.

What is your reason for wishing to contact the insurer? Knowing this might help someone point you in the right direction.

Little tip - often these products have a name unrelated to the actual name of the insurer. The quotes should still allow you to view IPID's & Policy wordings - take a look at those to find the insurer/underwriter and google them to find the contact info?

The added complexity is that the products sold on aggregators like CtM are not always identical to the products sold on the vendors own website... people buying on aggregators typically care about price not quality and hence covers are cut to shave monies off the premium.

Secondly, some of the aggregators have done white label deals with brokers or MGAs and so the brands dont exist outside of the aggregator.
