Hi Lostintheclouds
Randox do one for £43 which is cheaper than most - make sure to allow plenty of time for it to arrive
PCR tests for Travel have never been free - the NHS ones were free but you weren't allowed to use them for Travel
If you are Double jabbed many European countries no longer require a test prior to travelI am a Travel Agent
My company’s ABTA/ATOL numbers are G9172/6053. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. You can check my ATOL with the CAA. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.

Hi. The online thing seems to be a bit difficult as I understand the test has to be done within 72 hours of one destination arrival.Does anyone know how efficient these places are (as presuming the postal service is on point) it still leaves a very small margin of time in which to receive the results (even by email or phone). As for the NHS ones. I wonder how or why a destination country would not accept a test done via the NHS when the whole system is very unregulated as it is and it seems any old tom !!!!!! and harry can offer testing as it´s a big money making scheme these days. Thanks for any input.Fight the WEF.0 -
The advise form the TA is pretty much spot on,
In answer to your why isnt it free question
Do you think the NHS should pay for you to be able to travel? travel is a luxury and the NHS needs every penny it can get2 -
Because the NHS one doesn't have all the relevant information printed on it that countries or airlines requireLostintheclouds said:MATTR5 said:Hi Lostintheclouds

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
You need a certified result - the NHS lateral flow tests don’t provide that .0

We used Randox for our 2 day return test from Crete in September, you take the test and then drop it off at a local(ish) drop box. we dropped ours off at around 9:30 am on a Saturday and had results via text by 9.00 pm same dayLostintheclouds said:Does anyone know how efficient these places are (as presuming the postal service is on point) it still leaves a very small margin of time in which to receive the results (even by email or phone).Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0
