Change of name - tax disc

Hello 

I changed my name in July (got married). 

I sent my log book off, got a new one back a couple of weeks later in my new name, no bother. 

I sent my driving licence off with the form I got from the post office, got my marriage certificate back a month later (beginning of September), still waiting for my new driving licence. 

Today I have received an email from directdebit@taxdisc.service.gov.uk addressed to my old name and saying ‘If the information is wrong please contact your bank’ regarding the direct debit. Well my name is wrong, but the bank has my new name now so why would I contact them? They have it right. 

I’m tempted to just leave it and if the direct debit somehow fails, then look into it. 

Anyone have any better advice? Also, anyone with an inside knowledge of Swansea have any hint of when my driving licence might come?

I'd keep an eye out to make sure the direct debit does continue. Mine goes out on the first of the month for that month (presumably all do), which means if the DD fails, you aren't taxed and could potentially be pulled.

DL is anyone's guess. As above, they have got up to applications from the 9th August so they've got 3 weeks worth before they get to yours.
