Will Virgin extend my 0% offer?

Have an £8K credit line, current balance £800 and deal ends December....anyone had any luck extending as I'm thinking of a big purchase...I tried to call but got told by the robot 1hr+ wait time...

    Very unlikely as there's nothing in it for them.

    Lenders don't want to extend the 0% interest offer because, as zx81 says above, there's nothing in it for them.

    Martin always suggests trying to get a new 0% transfer balance deal from a different lender just before your current offer ends. Or paying off the balance, whichever is easier.

    If they extend it for one, they'd be obliged to extend it for all - and they won't make any money out of us that way. You could try phoning them though - and if they say yes please will you let me know as my Virgin 0% transfer deal ends at the beginning of next year and I wouldn't mind extending it for a few more months.

  • Just transfer it to ANY other credit card (with 0% fees), interest rate isn't that important because it won't be there for long, then back to Virgin if they are offering the best rate/deal you can obtain at the moment.
