Teletext Holiday

I am so pleased to see they are finally being taken to court. I was told I would receive a full refund in June 2020 and teletext even took an additional £1.00 from my account to ensure they refunded to the correct account! Their customer services are disgraceful and the only way to get through to customer services on the phone is to ring the booking line and get transferred. Emails are just a waste of time.
I truly hope that not only do they have to pay refunds in full, they also receive a strong fine.
if it is correct they have received the money back from hotels/airlines etc and not paid back to customers surely this is some kind of fraud and should be investigated by the police too?
As I have never received anything in writing from teletext my insurance company are unable to assist but suggested to contact "The Travel Network Group" which I did. Sadly, these guys have not actioned either. Teletext listed as being members of this on their website (www.thetravelnetworkgroup.co.uk).

They have a lot of questions to answer, the story got some newspaper coverage, but not enough and they got 30 seconds on The One Show tonight. As you have discovered they are not ABTA members, they have an effective arbitration service and others have reported that the Travel Network Group are totally ineffective when dealing with member complaints. If you paid by credit rather than a debit card, contact the card issuer and say you want to make a section 75 claim0
