hi all,
i was looking for a way to monitor my energy use on my phone and stumbled across an article on SmartThings Energy?
Has anyone tried it yet, it says its free and helps you manage your energy but has anyone tried it yet?

It works with Bulb and a Chameleon IHD. I confess that I get much more assured data from an App called BRIGHT.0

dont think thats right they say you dont need any hardware and works with every energy company, i think it only came out last week0

They have changed, originally it depended on having a wifi connection to an IHD CAD along with a Bulb energy account. It had the advantage of providing immediate access to energy stats, but was very limited in terms of the hardware and supplier requirement. Now they have removed the need for the IHD CAD and opened it up to all people with a Smart meter (so they say, but I suspect they mean all that are registered with the DCC).The downside is that it now reports on the previous day usage rather than current actual use.0

Hi,
I just did this the other day. added my Smart Meter and SmartThngs Energy.
All is working great, there was no need for the display. Everything syncs with my meter each night and I get good information on my energy. Liking it so far.

I tried it but it wouldn't validate me so I deleted the app.0

I think I'll stick with the BRIGHT app. At least it shows the current day's data to the nearest 30 minutes.1

I would not bother, all you need to do is an audit, see my post belowDiamondJoeH said:hi all,
