Morning all not a great nights sleep as the guttering is only half up so water was cascading down and hitting the little polycarbonate roof greenhouse i nearly went out and smashed it but in true OS ways i didn't. Roofers back today not sure how much longer this will take as they only seem to do part time . Carpenter called to say all my new internal doors are in and had we chosen the doors for the fitted bedroom units which we have but can't decide how to work the internal system to give maximum storage so he is coming to help on Friday .
Ruby glad you are feeling more focused their behaviour is truly shameful
Izzy I hope DH gets sorted at the physio
Snoozer get Steve a medical book my GGrandad had one and when he had wilder flights he used to look his symptoms up and see the treatment and decide that maybe he wasn't in too bad shape after all mind you he used to say "Damn the doctor and pass the salt" at the dinner table as he was on a low salt diet for his Blood Pressure
Florenceem Take no notice some people just like to be unpleasant i used to love looking at your makes i never comment on that thread as it doesn't feel as friendly as this one
Right better get moving , have a wonderful day whatever you are up to stay safe and stay dry xxxSlava Ukraini12 -

Morning, hugs if you need one. Its a filthy day here, sky almost as black as night. Its the coffee morning at the little chapel, We will be going round in the car.
Yesterday I finally lost it with the printer we have, Its been temperamental ever since I got it about 4 years ago. Have ordered a new one, will free cycle this one, someone else can have the problem.
RR so pleased you took advice and contacted people that were recommended. Do not entertain a meeting with HR without support; or get yourself in a position where they try to dismiss you.
Mac and cheese with salad tonight.

Morning all! I've just realised I can hear next door on the phone to their daughter from inside my house, that's never happened before...And just got a wrong number call, so we had a little banter and hopefully they've phoned the right person now. I'm amazed that doesn't happen more often, a real missdialled call, not a spam call. It wee'd it down all day yesterday and it's still dripping a bit now but hopefully it'll stay dry so I can finish sanding the new white elephant of a table.Didn't do half as much as I wanted to yesterday but I did pick up all the tomatoes on the floor of the greenhouse and tease off any that were due to fall off. I'd like to make a tomato chutney, I made a really nice one years ago but can't remember which recipe I used. And I have some more potatoes now, went to the sm to get rid of the soft plastic and also bought some Christmas preps [ yep, I said the C word] which I've hidden in the wardrobe drawer from the munch monster, so I can make some polpetti with the leftover beef. Have to get my spong mincer out for that one [ found in a skip years ago ]. They're really simple to make but so very tasty...Potatoes mashed, parmesan, garlic [ if you like] , parsely, salt and pepper, ground up beef or cooked mince, all mixed together, rolled in flour and fried. I don't make them very often because if we were cats, they'd be catnip. OH isn't really eating properly, he's still not used to the shifts and doesn't take food in with him so this is to tempt him too. I ased him a few weeks ago did he ever get hungry, he said no, I said, the gnawing feeling in your stomach when you're hungry? He said, no...Why is it that I can't have this fantastic quirk? I could certainly do with it sometimes....Ruby, glad you're feeling a bit better with a sort of plan, it's a big step to go back to work and the last thing you need is more hassle about it. I know there's the other side of things where they want an amployee who does what they want them to but in every organisation I've ever worked in there was always scope to accomodate different needs. They just had to want to. Camelot, glad you're not a proper leper
TA, have a nice day! Gers, ooo, enjoy new car shopping...Topsy, good on you. Izzy, god luck holding your patience. It wouldn't do for him to need a new knee on the other side after you push him down the stairs....[J/K!] Have a lovely day folks, hope you enjoy whatever you're doing!

Morning all, I was surprised the park wasn't flooded this morning after yesterdays rain.Dry atm but more to come!RR good to see you taking action, but I know it's not nice working at a place when something is wrong, hugs.Topsy, I hope you will be much happier now.Gers enjoy your trip to Campbeltown, we had several holidays there when DH was a member of a diving club & the boys were young. We stayed in a caravan park nearly on the shore line, happy days!Today DS2 has asked me to pick up 2 pumpkins as DGS has been asking for days, and they'll be here after school . Bit early, they'll probably have gone all soggy by actual Halloween
I think they're all having tea here too so it'll probably be cottage pie as I can get that ready before I pick DGD up. I have been trying to be economical with my main oven usage but it'll have to go on for that , the dish is too big, been monitoring with the in house display seeing what appliances use the most and least. Yesterday I cooked a small gammon joint in my Remoska, and some sausages and chips in the Vortex air fryer. Some leftover veg and we were all sorted.
Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
My drive down to Campbeltown was so lovely, the rain held off and the skies were blue. A lot of the journey is near to the coastline which was distracting, huge waves breaking up the bright blue waters. It really cheered me up. And then I ordered my new car for delivery in March. Just as well as there's a price rise in two weeks time. I was very impressed with the customer service, probably because it's not a franchise of a big company. Whilst I was there I asked them to change my windscreen wipers and put air in one tyre - the tyre ended up having to be repaired as there was a screw in it but I was given both services FOC.Coming back was equally lovely. Rosy - I know the caravan park you mean, the units have such wonderful views.Topsy - sorry to hear about your marriage, sometimes it's for the best so I wish you much happiness now.Taff - that polpetti sounds so delicious and more'ish. The sun is still shining but losing a battle with the high wind and dark clouds rolling across the sky. I seem a bit obsessed with the sky but it's fascinating to watch. Bella - what a lovely thing for your DGD to say, she's a smart cookie!
