care parking PCN

Hi, 

First post here.

I received a parking charge notice from care parking last Friday.

On Oct 6th I had been to the cinema and had no idea that there was a 3hour limit on parking. the film with ads and trailers ran over 3 hours. I had an overstay of 24 mins.
I had been told that cinema staff have been warning customers to enter their car reg on a pad in the cinema, but obviously nobody told me!

I have looked at the newbie thread and have tried plan A - contacting the cinema in person and through web chat but have been told they cant waiver the fine, and I need to contact care parking via email.

I have also tried to contact the landowner but so far had no reply.

I see on the blue template about not naming driver but on the notice it states if driver isnt known after 29 days they have the right recover any unpaid charge from me.

Hope this makes sense to someone.

Obviously the time allowed is insufficient.  Have you complained to your MP?

Personally, I wouldn't use the template appeal for this one.

Attach proof of attending the cinema and say you have complained to the cinema manager, who has seen this happening far too often here recently and they are at the end of their tether with the system.

Say that the cinema advised to appeal, because they failed to point out some obscure VRM keypad system hidden away with non prominent signage that is Care Parking's responsibility.

ps:- its not a "fine" , its an INVOICE from a private parking company, a Parking Charge Notice ( PCN )

I will try to email them tomorrow, without giving out any driver detail.

Just to let you know I managed to find out who the landowner is and have just received email confirmation that my pcn has been rescinded.

Could you kindly post in SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs (the first link in the NEWBIES thread) saying which cinema/town this is snd who to contact if anyone gets a PCN from Care Parking.
