Hi, I have a parking charge notice from VCS vehicle control services for vehicle in the car park thinking it's the gyms car park.
As the gym is facing that car park
They sent a letter in the the post with CCTV images and saying I have to pay £100 now for 48 mins parking.
I really can't afford this as I am on benefits for mental health and stress and this does not help my situation.
I tried contacting the landowner number and they said it's a 3rd party issue and do not want to help.

Can anyone help please this has me feeling very low.

    Welcome!

What do you need to know that's not already covered in the NEWBIES thread, where the template appeal is?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Advice on paying the fine getting it canceled or appealing?

I've read the newbie thread but abit confused.

I don't want to go to court and the stress is not good for me to have this on my mind but Its also such a ridiculous and unfair amount for anyone on very low income to have.

But the NEWBIES thread gives all you need to know about this stage.  Of course no-one pays, all the time this rogue industry is so out of control.

Surely your next step is getting pics of the car park as evidence for your appeal, to prove it is not clearly signed.

Keep reading it until you are not confused.  It is complicated and there are no silver bullelts.  Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Some bad news for you below , so don't take it personally , but the brief facts are ( in black and white )

    Your finances are irrelevant

If you own or park a vehicle , any charges or "fines" or penalties , come with that responsibility

The vehicle was parked on private property without permission

The £100 daily default tariff has been around for a decade and won't change until next summer , 2022

This won't go away , even if you do appeal VCS will reject it , they always do !!

If you don't pay , then you should appeal to VCS and complain to the landowner too

VCS have 6 years to issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton , using MCOL ( Google it )

Yes they do issue many such court claims every year and won't change anytime soon

It is what it is , the driver took a chance and the vehicle was caught

Sorry to be blunt , but you need the unemotional facts about this , plus you have a difficult decision to make

This isn't about choice to go to court or not , VCS will make that decision , just like any company with an unpaid invoice !

I hope this explanation tells you what you need to know , even if you are torn between a rock and a hard place

    Good luck

Firstly it's not a fine it's an invoice.

    From the gyms website:

    ONE OF LIVERPOOL’S BEST GYMS

Looking for one of the best gyms in Liverpool? If you’re searching for a gym with hundreds of pieces of the best cardio and strength equipment, over 300 classes a month, saunas in our luxury changing rooms and a great location with plenty of free parking, all included for one amazing no contract price, then choose the incredible JD Gyms Liverpool Edge Lane today and we promise you’ll never look back!

So what have the gym said when you complained to them?

  • The gym do not want to take any responsibility.
Even though the car park is at the same address. The car park that you have to use is round the corner and not easily known. There is no notification or warning to customers of the gym nothing on the website and nothing on the welcome email about where to park. They however know exactly that if I pay within 14 days I can reduce the amount of the fine.
