Premier Inn Gstwick North

Son dropped me off outside Premier Inn Gatwick North in July, something he has done on manh occasions. I return in September to a parking fine for £100 for stopping outside the hotel. When  query I query it they say the policy has changed. And I should have logged the car registration. I was not asked. I used them again on 2nd October, still no one asked. When I mentioned it they produced a table to log the registration. Premier Inn are saying they cannot refund my money. Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.

Plan A first. I assume that you are a good and regular customer of Premier Inn, so I would get in touch with someone senior..... not a front desk jockey... and get them to squash this ridiculous charge for you.

Why would someone drop off in a hotel car park to avoid the proper Airport drop-off, or weren't you using the Airport but were using the hotel?

    Which parking firm?

Don't tell us you paid them...you mention 'refund my money' as if you paid?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was staying at the hotel. Yes I paid it because I could not afford for it to go any higher. I also believed I would get the money back because I stayed in the hotel. It is a reasonable assumption.

All the time this industry is unregulated, the message on this forum is: don't pay private parking charges.  It doesn't 'go up' and it wasn't a fine.

You won't get that money back unless you sue the parking firm or Hotel, which is an option.
