Help with EDF variable rate tariff ... do I switch
Hi
I was Green Network Energy which transferred to EDF. The fixed rate has now ended (we were paying £52 - £65 ppm) with Green Network Energy and EDF) and have been put on a variable tariff paying £52 to date.
I have just done a comparison with monthly costs now over £140 pcm. My worry is that EDF prices will rise sharply as it is a variable tariff. Are there any recommendations? Thanks

Just do nothing: stay on the standard variable default tariff to which you were rolled over. The rates are capped until April 2022 when you'll start to use less energy, and it's unlikely that you'll find anything better in the meantime. If you do find anything better, there won't be an exit fee.0

ThanksYour EDF prices have already risen, but your DD doesn't reflect that yet. You can either ask EDF to increase your DD or you can stick with what you're paying now and expect a big catch-up bill in 3-6 months. As Gerry1 says, there's hardly anywhere cheaper to switch to at present.N.
