Park Home Residential Pitches

Hypothetical question please. I've just found my ideal static caravan on ebay and now I want to find a place to pitch up all year round and use it as my main residence. Is there a residential pitch directory I can visit to find what pitches are available? Anything else I need to be concerned about? Many thanks

Some years ago Link House published an annual "Caravan Sites" book which listed all touring, static and residential parks in UK, but I don't know if it is still published.
Most parks want people to buy caravans from them, so you will be limited in finding one which accepts someone who has their own van. Further finding one which is open for 365 days a year and is not a residential park will be difficult. I doubt a residential park would allow a static to be sited. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3 -
That's exactly what I'm finding out from my investigations:(0

In my experience residential park owners make the majority of their profits from the huge mark-up on mobile homes. I seriously doubt you'll find anyone prepared to let you site your own home on their park.1

Not cheap (£5,200 p a) and what does the site licence actually allow. Maybe worth asking the advertiser for more details. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
That's almost certainly for a touring caravan. If it's talking about waste disposal points it's not a pitch suitable for a sited static caravan and definitely not a residential park home. They have properly plumbed in sewerage pipes. They don't have weekly site fees either, you get a proper licence agreement for X number of years.

They would be pretty annoyed if you turned up with your static caravan and tried to pitch it somewhere designed for touring caravans and motorhomes1
