Reporting PPCs to Trading Standards

In my opinion, far too few of theses tickets reach Trading Standards.

There was a case recently where the PPC did not have a contract with the landowner as required by law.  Other cases concern faulty ANPR cameras, charging for time spent looking for a space,  PCNs in residential car parks where primacy of contract applies, leaving site, signs with 700 words of tiny print. etc., etc., etc.

Many of these appear to breach the unfair terms provisions enshrined in the the Consumer Rights Act, (policed by Tradind Standards).

It seeems to me that we are missing a trick here.  What do others think?  Should a sentance be added to the newbies thread?  t

Some people might struggle with it, but certainly I think that where possible we should do anything possible to redress the balance and put some pressure on these parasites.

Reporting to TS is nigh on impossible in some (most?) areas, as the Local Authorities direct you to a central admin waste of time whose name escapes me (not Action Fraud, something else).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I thought one had to go to CAB in order to get a complaint or report to Trading Standards.

I have had several times had cause tio complain about a compnay.  On each occasion I have wriiten directly to the TSO at my local Council, (Reading).  On each occasion they had dealt with the matter to my satisfaction.

Had they not done so I would have complained to the CEO.  You need to be assertive with Trading Standards.

I've thoughts about it. Not sure how effective TS just like Action Fraud are. I've reported other scams/ Rogue traders online and not even had back an acknowledgement let alone any follow ups despite being able yo provide physical evidence. It doesn't hurt to report them if not too time consuming as these things often only take a matter of minutes, but there has to be a better way!?!

    That's it

According to previous accounts, fob off merchants who are useless and disinterested in PPCs.
