Hermes International drop-off problem

I booked a hermes last night (going uk to Southern Ireland)
My local drop off point was clearly listed as one of the locations but when I tried to send it this morning the barcode reader won't accept it and they say I have to book a collection for international deliveries.
Is this correct as I just checked again and the hermes website definitely says you can drop international parcels at the shops?
